Softswitch - Description

The hardware-software complex belongs to SoftSwitch category of 5th class (VoIP commutator) and has several destinations:

1) VoIP-commutator/router for a managing IP telephony networks and providing efficient interaction with partner networks, managing call routing rules, managing signal and media traffic;

2) Providing proxing of VoIP protocols, concealment of network structure;

3) Real-time rating of transit VoIP traffic in a single point, providing single entrance point for VoIP traffic relative to other operators and clients;

4) Building corporate telephone networks and providing their interaction with public telephone network via WebRTC, DSS1, SS7, IP SIP, IP H323 (IP PBX) protocols;

5) Creating Call Centers and integrating them with CRM;

6) Card IP telephony and CallBack, subscriber authorizing with functions of voice interface.

Possibilities and features

Possibility of interaction with public network via DSS1, SS7 protocol.

Allows simplifying the process of VoIP network administering and expanding (new gateways are registered in configuration file).

Flexible options of traffic routing (due to selection of statistical and dynamic routing, change of terminating servers, use of time-outs).

Possibility of creating a service point for card IP telephony with minimum expenditures. The service can be provided for clients with their own VoIP equipment or conventional IP phones.

Functions of user processing by VoIP cards: subscriber authorization by PIN-codes, making calls by numbers entered by users, conversation interruption, phone address book with possibility of abbreviated dialing, last number abbreviated dialing etc.

Use of VoIP gateways not having incorporated functions of voice interface (IVR) allows to employ economical equipment. Calls from city network can be adjusted to a special virtual lVP route, where the program asks card number and PIN-code, authenticates a user and then makes a call on the number entered by user.

Special virtual lVP route with possibility of authentication by caller number, CallBack to the client, voice query of called number and making call to called subscriber.

Additional features

- Possibility of providing different quality level to different client groups;
- Wide range of VoIP services for corporate clients (virtual/installed at client’s place IP-PBX, vocal mail, transfer, auto attendant etc.);
- Possibility of using VoIP equipment from different manufacturers in one network;
- Non-transparency of terminating operator network (representation of all network by one IP address and use of NAT);
- Compatibility with many billing systems.

Authentication

1) Authentication of incoming calls by IP address or by trunk group;
2) Authentication of incoming calls using caller number;
3) Authentication by card number and PIN-code (SQL server is used).

Routing

By prefix of called and caller number, service quality, country of origin and start date of the call (day of week, call time).

Translation of numbers

1) Adding a specified prefix to caller number;
2) Removing a specified prefix from caller number;
3) Adding a specified prefix to called number;
4) Removing a specified prefix from called number;
5) Translation of numbers with the use of SQL server.

Output of billing information

Possibility of choice (by program configuration):
1) Saving in text files;
2) Recording to SQL database (in case of failure - for example, SQL server is temporarily inaccessible – option 1 is used);
3) Online monitoring (using UDP packages and additional client program).

Possibilities of system configuring and managing

1) Program parameters control using configuration files;
2) Possibility of managing basic process or subprocesses of the program by means of Unix-signals (read configuration file, other...).
